ABOUT

I'm a dancer, an illustrator, a painter, a mom, a vegan, and a co-founderI really like helping individuals, groups, and organizations develop conscious programs, missions and fundraising plans that are sustainable and engaging. I do this through deep listening, thoughtful inquiry, holistic thinking, data capture and record-keeping. I work with and learn from people who bring social awareness and intention to their mission's work, their vision of fundraising and philanthropy, organizational culture change, and programming. I work both individually as well as through my collective. Check us out:

  • The Power of Dialog

  • Inclusivity

  • Thinking Outside the Box

  • Conscious Design and Communication

  • Intentional Fundraising

  • Ethical Philanthropy

My background in the arts also brings somatic awareness, non-traditional and non-conforming creative energy that is grounded in collaboration and collectivity. Humor is a huge. Thanks for reading!

journey  stuff

Meredith's journey as a professional dancer, bringing music and dance to incarcerated persons in women's prisons through Avodah Dance, led her straight into the non-profit world of fundraising and program management.

During her tenure as Development Associate at Turtle Bay Music School (TBMS), she performed fundraising operations while cultivating and stewarding relationships across the school’s diverse constituency. She worked interdepartmentally to produce high-caliber institutional, government, and individual proposals and presentations. She led and coordinated mission-driven giving programs and community events that grew donor interests and revenue for: long-term tuition-free music education for underserved youth and their families; city-wide public school partnerships; free and accessible music residencies for seniors; and free professional-grade concerts.

Now, Meredith offers guidance and assistance in her areas of expertise: individual giving, constituent engagement, donor stewardship, community events, creative communications and content design, high-caliber grant proposals, program development and strategic planning.

Her deep-rooted history in the arts garnered her a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance which eventually led to a Masters in Nonprofit Management from The New School. During her graduate studies, Meredith focused on the shifting landscape of the United States’ education system with a particular lens on public school education, school-to-prison pipelines, and the impacts of accessibility to alternative arts-based learning. She conducted an ethnographic study on a “failing” Brooklyn public high school while providing the school’s sole comprehensive art program for grades 9-12 that enabled students to create and perform their own group dances and original spoken-word poetry.

Meredith and her family currently live in "the Garden State" (New Jersey) - recognizing that they live, work and play on stolen and occupied land - traditional and ancestral territories of Indigenous Peoples and their Nations. She and her family acknowledge them as the past, present, and future caretakers of the land we live, work, and play on. She commits to learning from and supporting their leadership.
